Five Indian fisherman nabbed for poaching in Sri Lankan waters

The Sri Lankan Navy has arrested five Indian fishermen for poaching in Sri Lankan waters. The five Indian fishermen were apprehended for allegedly crossing the International Maritime Boundary Line and fishing in Sri Lankan waters.
These Indian fishermen had been engaged in illegal fishing in the sea area North of Mannar.
The naval personnel onboard a Fast Attack Craft in the North Central Naval Command arrested the five Indian poachers.
A fishing dhow was also seized along with the suspects.
The arrested fishermen and fishing dhow were handed over to the Mannar Assistant Directorate of Fisheries for onward legal action.
