AG requests to remand for three more months the two accused in Nadaraja Raviraja murder case

The Attorney General has made a request from the Colombo

High Court to remand for another three months the two accused taken into custody in connection with the murder of Former Jaffna District Parliamentarian Nadaraja Raviraja.
The Attorney General called for the extension of the remand custody by another three months, as they are in remand for a period of nearly one year. High Court Judge Manilal Waidyatilake informed that this case will be taken up on the 25th of this month to consider the request made by the Attorney General. At the last hearing the judiciary decided that there is sufficient evidence to induct the accused in the High Court.
Nadaraja Raviraja was murdered in the year 2006. A three wheeler said to have been used in this murder is in Police custody.
