Minister Rajitha Senaratne says that a software will be introduced to meet drug shortages in the Ayurveda hospitals. He said this during a discussion at the Borella Ayurveda Teaching Hospital. A group of people including members of the students union of Rajagiriya Indigenous Medicine Institute attended the meeting. Lengthy discussions took place on amending the present syllabus to create better local Ayurveda Graduates. It was revealed during the discussion that there is a daily shortage of medicine at the Ayurveda hospitals. Minister Rajitha Senaratne said that a software would be introduced as a solution to overcome drug shortages at the Ayurveda hospitals. He said that steps were taken to introduce such software to general hospitals, teaching hospitals, district hospitals and base hospitals to meet the drug shortage.
