Retro-chic electric designs, a successful trend at Geneva Motor Show

Combining historic car designs with modern engine and drive-train technology is one of the trends at the Geneva Motor Show 2019. Car makers like the French company Devinci try to make the idea their business. The company is just two years old – but led by former professional pilot and Mitjet Motorsport founder Jean-Philippe Dayraut it has already 100 models booked out of the 200 cars it is planning to produce for 2019.Devinci’s cars are inspired by 1930s racing cars – expressing refinement and “luxe a la francaise”, but all-electric and equipped with the latest technology.Hand-made and almost totally made in France, the “Classic D417” and the three different “DB 718” are equipped with electric batteries which autonomy ranges from 150 km to 230 km.Future owners can personalise their cars by choosing everything from paint to stickers and finish.
