Nandikadal Lagoon declared a wildlife conservation zone

The Nandikadal Lagoon area has been declared as a wildlife conservation zone.
The Nandikadal Lagoon is known to the people of this country as the as last area of the LTTE terrorist leader Velupillai Prabhakaran. Several years had passed since the routing of the LTTE terrorist outfit from the country.
This location has by now being the focus of the local as well as foreign visitors as a special environment network. The area has received a high value because of the many birds and wild animals.
The Wildlife Conservation Department has declared the Nandikadal Lagoon as a wildlife conservation area with the intention of protecting the site.
