North and South Korea hold joint events celebrating summit anniversary

North and South Korea held joint events in Pyongyang to celebrate the 11th anniversary of the October 4 Declaration, which was signed by leaders of two Korea in 2007.In the video provided by North Korea’s official news agency KCNA to Reuters, which Reuters cannot independently verify, a South Korean delegation and North Korean officials including the North’s titular head of state, Kim Yong Nam, attended a meeting marking the anniversary and watched the Mass Games.A South Korean delegation of 160 people, led by Unification Minister Cho Myoung-gyon, left for Pyongyang on Thursday (October 4) for a three-day trip to the country.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in agreed to hold the events during a summit last month. The celebration is the first-ever joint events celebrating the 2007 inter-Korea summit.
