The President declares open the Ape Gama built at the Janakala Kendra premises in Battaramulla and the Reflection of Sri Lanka International Exhibition
The opening of Ape Gama built at the premises of the Janakala Kendraya in Battaramulla on the sidelines of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, took place this evening under the patronage of President Rajapaksa. Ape Gama consists of all features of a traditional village. It portrays the ancient civilian life and vocations. It has been built on a concept of Minister Basil Rajapaksa nd the supervision of the Ministry of Economic Development. The village will be open to local and well as foreign tourists throughout the year.
The President also declared open the Reflection of Sri Lanka International Exhibition located in affiliation to the Janjakala Kendraya. It can be described as the massive Trade, Tourism and Investment Exhibition organized under one roof and joined by world famous local and foreign investors as well as many importers and exporters. There are 850 stalls 200 stalls have been put up by foreign firms. The Exhibition will be held until the 17th. It has been organized by the Ministry of Industries and Commerce.
