Measures to control kidney disease
Minister Maithripala Sirisena said the Government is taking all measures to control kidney disease. He said that the government will increase financial allocations made in this connection.
The Minister noted that the kidney disease has become a main issue in the Polonnaruwa District. 5% of the national budget is spent on treating the kidney patients.
Certain unsuitable conditions in the environment cause kidney diseases. The scientists have found that drinking water is a main cause of the disease.
