New factory for plastic recycling

A new factory has been built for recycling waste plastic material.

The factory launched under full Sri Lankan ownership was inaugurated under the patronage of first lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa. 300 million rupees has been invested for the project. The aim of this project is to minimize environmental pollution, introduce new products, earn foreign exchange and create job opportunities. The factory would be amongst the 10 factories in the world that use waste plastic material to create environment friendly items with the use of latest technology. The products will be sold to Australia, China, Vietnam and East European countries. Ven. Galaboda Gnanissara Thera, Ministers and Parliamentarians were among those who participated in the inaugural ceremony.

    We have been waiting so long for this. Good move by the government. This is what we want to see our leaders doing. Don't stop here, how about a recycling factory for other solid waste? You can start with bio degradable garbage and earn a equally huge profit by manufacturing fertilizer.
