Plans to strengthen economy through tourism

Minister Basil Rajapaksa has revealed that new plans have been crafted to strengthen the tourism industry, which would make a significant contribution to the local economy.

He made this disclosure joining in the opening of the Hotel Show 2010 Exhibition. It is being held at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Centre. The Exhibition will draw to a close today. The Exhibition is organized by the Hotel School Graduates Association with Lanka Exhibition and Conference Services under the guidance of the Ministry of Economic Development. Its aim was to give an opportunity for local and well as international supplies and buyers to meet face to face.
